Just in case you missed it…Home Tour – Part One and Part Two.
My Favorite Room
{Right Now…}
I love our living room. It just makes me happy every time I see it.

Yes…another gallery wall. I told you I loved them! This one was fun to create. We went to Memphis last year. Starting about a month before we left, I checked Groupon and Living Social each day to see if there were any deals that we could use while we were there. I came across a deal for a photography session with Real to Reel Photography. I thought it would be a great souvenir from our trip. The pictures turned out AMAZING!! You can see a few of them on my “about me” page. I used these photos in my gallery, along with a few things that I made, some printables, and a couple of things that I bought. I smile when I see it and it reminds me how much I love my husband. I promise to share more details of this wall later.

I love Pottery Barn…what’s not to love, right? However, the pretty things that they sell are usually not in my budget so I improvise. I found the rug on Overstock.com and fell in love with the colors. I just had a hard time finding fabric that I liked that had the same colors. While browsing PB, I ran across some linens that would match perfectly. They had beautiful pillow covers in just the right colors, but if you shop PB you know they were pretty pricey. As I continued shopping, I saw that they had the same color and similar patterns in their table linens AND they were on clearance!! I purchased several napkins and a couple of placemats. By recovering pillows that we already had, I made EIGHT pillows for about $60!! I saved so much that I decided to splurge on the embroidered pillow. It was beautiful and only $29 on clearance. The little tan pillow with the flowers also came from PB clearance.

My mom gave me the sewing machine base and the rocker. I just painted some cedar fence pickets to create a table top on the sewing machine. The canvas on the table was a 10 minute project using a stencil. I bought both of the lamp shades in the room at Target for $5. I loved the shape, but they had navy ribbon around them and one of them had a stain. I removed the ribbon and hot glued some twine around them. Then to cover the stain, I made several burlap rosettes and hot glued them on. I love how they turned out!

I made the sunburst mirror using this tutorial.

Here are a few more pictures from around the room…

I love your style! That burlap lampshade is super cute. I just picked up a similar shade on clearance at Lowe's for 4 bucks. I think I may have to try your idea out. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks, Jen! Go check out the tutorial for the sunburst mirror. You can buy shorter wood shims and it would make a great addition to your gallery wall!
Very pretty. I love that you put the mirror in between the two windows.
Thank you, Andrea! I took a peek at your blog. I love the stenciled wall in your dining room!

Thank you and thanks for stopping by, Elizabeth!! I hope to post the details about my gallery walls soon!
VERY CUTE! We have the same sewing machine, sadly, sitting outside (no its not ours). But I have a mind to ask the owners if they mind my fixing it up!
Hi, Sara…Thanks! Go for it! Hopefully, they will let you have it. I fixed this one up for less than $5. If it's rusted, just spray it well with Rustoleum primer.
Looks gorgeous! You really have some great style going there. Very inspiring to me. I am a new follower visiting from Delicate Construction. Vicky from Mess For Less
Thank you, Vicky! I'll head over and check out your site now.
Your home is so pretty. I like the style you have created and how you managed it on a budget. Your personal handcrafted and artistic elements really make this room personal.
Thank you, Kim!! I love crafting and creating things and it's usually much cheaper than buying home decor items.
